Laura Linney was one of the greatest American actors of recent times. Her savacious and vulnerable performances have made her a household brand. In the summer, while working with her father's business Laura Linney fell in love with the theatre. After that, at Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. She began her Broadway career shortly after graduating, and then made her debut on television the following year. In the years since, she's appeared in numerous film, TV and stage plays. She has been awarded numerous prizes during her professional career. These include the four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. Yet, despite all the awards she has received the theatre is still her passion first and foremost. She is still appearing on stage and screen.
